SRC-101 is compatible with a comprehensive range of Bitcoin addresses, including Legacy, Nested Segwit, Native Segwit, and Taproot addresses. SRC-101’s architecture is inherently flexible, designed to potentially support new types of Bitcoin addresses that may emerge from future soft forks or protocol upgrades. The support for this extensive array of address types is underpinned by the fact that SRC-101 transactions are fundamentally UTXO (Unspent Transaction Output) based. This ensures that transactions are permanently recorded on the blockchain’s native UTXO structure rather than relying on the Segregated Witness (SegWit) method. Typically, reliance on technology stored in Segregated Witness (SegWit) primarily supports only Taproot addresses. Such a design guarantees that SRC-101 transactions are indelible and immune to pruning, enhancing both compatibility and reliability across the Bitcoin network.
Additionally, SRC-101 also accommodates Layer 2 Bitcoin addresses and EVM-compatible addresses through the Matrixlink system designed by Bitname, highlighting a distinct technological integration from the native Bitcoin address support.
